Biggs Community Hall, formerly known for decades as Biggs Veterans Memorial Hall, is available to the community for public functions and private facilities rentals. The building is at 280 B Street at the east entrance to the city on the Russell Baker Memorial Site, commemorating the Baker family’s contributions to the Biggs area.
The hall is reminiscent of its 1950’s era. It is often rented for weddings, retirement parties and other functions. It features a spacious main hall (62' x 42') with up to (25) 8' folding tables and 160 chairs available on site. The main hall has a maximum occupancy of 337 (standing or chairs only), or 157 when set up for dining (tables & chairs).
The large (25' x 16') kitchen has a food serving window, commercial refrigerator, prep table, lots of counter space, large stainless steel commercial sink and drain boards, and a commercial stove with 10 stove burners and two ovens. The building has an additional meeting room (maximum occupancy 49) and separate men’s and women’s restrooms. Limited wheelchair accessibility to the main hall is available with ADA improvements being planned. Parking is adequate on a mostly graveled surface.
